Toddler Room Here She Comes!

Today was a big day for Claire, she has officially graduated to the Toddler Room at school.  Little Sister is growing up fast.  She was so proud to take her backpack to school today instead of a lunch bag of milk cups and snacks.  (Mommy was also happy to not be preparing said milk cups and snacks with labels each morning.)

We had to celebrate with a picture on the front step of course.

The backpack view.

I'm ready to go Mom!

Today when I picked her up she was already in her coat, hat, and mittens ready to go outside.  She was holding on to her ring on the rope that they use to guide the toddlers to the playground.  She was holding on and walking right along with the big kids (by big kids I mean kids from 18 months to almost 3 years old-these are all considered toddlers).  When she saw me she wasn't sure if she could let go; she's so good at following directions!  Once she finally let go, she led me back to her classroom and found her backpack.  She knew she had items in her cubby and pointed for me to get them.  She wanted to put that backpack right back on and proudly go pick up Big Sister.

Claire turns 17 months on the 11th; almost one and a half.  She's getting so big so fast.  Her vocabulary is taking off now that she's got her motor skills pretty well figured out.  Current words include:  mama, dada, nana, teetee (kitty), ow, uh-oh, wow, more, on, bubble, eyes, daydoo (thank you), and a few others.  She loves to play with Anna and Anna even loves to have her play with her most of the time.  Life with these two girls is just awesome.
