Here are some fun pictures and updates from our August adventures.
We kicked off the month of August with a trip for Mom and Dad and a weekend with grandparents for the girls. Brian and I had been planning our little fishing get away for a while so it was hard to believe the weekend had finally arrived!

We got to do a little kayaking on Lake Superior.

Our trip was awesome, even though our fishing charter resulted in no fish. We had a great weekend with great friends and some time away from it all. We were all excited to get back home and be together as our family of 4.
The rest of August was spent running Anna to Book Camp and Claire and Mommy getting to have some time together. We spent a few mornings playing at the river, throwing rocks and watching the water.

Claire even took her shoes off and went in the river!

We had a fun trip to Ikea with friends and we got ice cream.

We enjoyed National Night Out with our neighbors. It was crazy to think that two summers ago when we first went, we knew no one, and this year, we knew a lot of people. We are very lucky to live in a neighborhood with so many great new friends!

August also means school supplies! We went shopping for all of Anna's supplies and she has them all organized and ready to go for school. Claire helped her sharpen all of her pencils.

Lots of fun has been had by these five in our neighborhood this summer. Anna's best neighborhood buddies: Hunter, Izzy, Claire, and Alexa making a plan. They are too cute! It's been so great to have all these 4-6 year olds living within a block of our house!

Of course Anna got new kicks for school. She picked the brightest and most colorful ones she could find! She has to have one special pair just for phy ed.

All the fun of August has been awesome, but very exhausting for our ClaireBear.
