Thanksgiving Weekend

This year we stayed home and enjoyed a quiet Thanksgiving weekend.

We roasted our own 24 pound turkey and enjoyed quite a feast. We made turkey and dressing sandwich meat and turkey tetrazzini and will have many more turkey sandwiches with the rest of the turkey!  These two turkeys enjoyed themselves.

They were especially thrilled with the 1/2 inch of snow!

We did get out Thanksgiving day evening and do a little shopping. We mostly just played in the car while Brian went to Best Buy and the girls learned many lessons about the buttons in the car and discussed the numerous people out buying tvs.
We did not get up early today and do any more shopping. We stayed in jammies and enjoyed time at home. We decorated for Christmas and put together our ginger bread house from Clyde, our elf.

I even got to play gingerbread engineer.
Phoebe just supervised.

Brian snapped a few pictures of our tree adventure. This year we put our fake tree in the front room and are going to get a real one for our family room.
Claire got to put the angel on top.
Love these relaxed holiday weekends.
