It was a very fun Halloween weekend. We were sure to get a lot of use out of our costumes this year.
We kicked off the weekend with fun at our church's fall festival. The girls enjoyed crafts and games and fun with friends. Our little octopus and zebra were so cute!
Getting her face painted. She could get tangled up in her legs!
On Sunday we went to a local Trunk or Treat after Claire's first basketball practice. The girls showed off their costumes once more and collected their 2nd round of candy and prizes. After we went to Grace's house to carve pumpkins!
Both girls were really specific on what they wanted to carve so after some help tracing it out, they both did most of the carving themselves.
Anna's was pretty intricate for her so it took quite a lot of focus and time.
The whole gang carving.
Anna's final product!
Claire's spooky pumpkin carving...plus some marker fun.
On Halloween night, we had pizza with friends, suited up in our costumes once more and headed out for trick or treat fun!
It was a drizzly night so costumes got a bit wet, but this group had a great time!
My favorite group of trick-or-treaters of the night!
Claire came home early and helped me hand out candy to the rest of our visitors. When Anna got home, they started the pile!
Quite a bit of candy was collected. They decided to pool their resources and do some sorting. Quite the operation.
We did some counting too so we could see which kind of candy we had the most of. Suckers won, but Tootsie Rolls were a close 2nd.
It was a very fun Halloween. We have plenty of candy to get us through until next year!
