There's not a lot new going on at Anna's house this week, just the typical preparations for Christmas with shopping, baking, decorating, and enjoying a snowed in day at home. We haven't officially been snowed in, but Saturday morning we woke up to enough snow, Daddy had to go out and clear the driveway so we could get out and do our holiday shopping. Anna, being the very innovative girl that she is, brought her stool into the living room so she could stand on it and watch Daddy clear the snow.
Peeking out to see what he's up to!
This weekend, while out shopping, we also stopped at a friend's house to pick up Anna's new big girl bed. She had this Elmo bed, perfect for Anna, for us to borrow until her cute little man needs it, which will probably be awhile. In the meantime, Elmo is hanging out at our house, being played with, but not officially slept in. Anna was very excited to have a new bed in her room, after testing it out, she immediately filled it with dolls and toys and anything else she could find. She loves her new bed, but Mommy and Daddy are not anywhere near ready for her to be out of her barred crib. We just want to be prepared in case the time comes soon....she's not climbing out of her crib yet (knock on wood), but she's tall enough to practically jump right on out. So, we're prepared...or at least have a fun new toy in her bedroom to play with!
Testing it out.
So happy in her big girl bed!
Tonight was Anna-Mommy night after we had dinner with Daddy on his way to bowling. So we started baking our cookies for Christmas. Of course, Anna had her mixer out ready to whip up some batter! It really does work, she loves it, but it goes through batteries almost daily.
Cheese mom!
And, since I had the camera out, Anna had to see how many funny faces she could make. She's fascinated with the camera, loves to see her picture on the back and asks for "more" pictures after each shot. Here are a few goofy faces we got tonight:
She's such a goofball.
She's such a goofball.
As I'm looking through these pictures I'm noticing a few things. 1. She's got red hair. Nice. 2. She's grown up. Scary. 3. She still looks a lot like her Daddy! Cute :)
It's a typical busy week this week with bowling, parent-teacher conferences, shopping, baking, and Christmas partying. Lots of fun activities on the agenda, makes the week go so fast! Christmas will be here before we know it!
