Thoughts from Anna:
"Mommy and Daddy spent a lot of time outside this weekend working on MY new sidewalk. They broke it a few weeks ago, so now they have to fix it. Here I am showing Mommy how to level out the dirt before she puts the sand and rocks in for the patio."
"Here I am showing Papa Randy how to make sure the deck is level."
"The mail man came, so I had to go and get the bills."
"There wasn't anything for me today."
"Daddy spent a lot of time with his pencil behind his ear. I think that's really funny when he puts it there."
"While I was supervising, I took a break for lunch outside on my new Goldfish bread."
"Mommy worked really hard on the patio, pounding the dirt so it got flat."
"I just watched and looked cute."
"I got to cuddle and read and play with Grandma Lori while I supervised."
"Mommy laid the bricks."
"Papa Randy drilled the boards."
"Daddy cut the bricks and the boards."
"Sometimes I supervised from inside so I could see everything that was going on."
"We took a family shot to document our project progress."
"Here I am with my new sidewalk. I am very proud of my new sidewalk."
"Checking in on Mom as she finished up the bricks."
"I have a handful of sand here to give to Mom. I was a big helper. I kept putting more sand in the area so she would have enough."
"Mom took a break and played with me in my sandbox for a while. She said this was the sand I could play with."
"I also took a break from supervising to take a ride on my bike. Mom said I needed to wear my helmet cause I was a crazy driver. I loved going down the hill and putting my feet up so the wheels would spin really fast. I think I'm an excellent driver."
"Mom and Dad even let me ride in our street. Of course we watched for cars and I only got to go to the next house with Mom right beside me. But I loved ramping up the curbs." *DISCLAIMER: For any reader who doesn't know, we live on a dead end road that only has three houses on it. Traffic on our street is rare.
"Daddy and Papa Randy spent a lot of time thinking."
"Lots of progress was made, they tell me. I think they forgot something, we still can't get into the front door."
"When Papa Randy and Grandma Lori left, this is what what done. I am so excited about my new sidewalk. Daddy is still working on it, hopefully it's done soon!"
