Funny Things From The Princess

Daily we hear funny stories from our little creative genius.  Here are a few from recent days...

Anna hit her arm on the wall and it left a mark for a little while.  At supper I inquired about what she did to her arm (even though I knew) and this was the answer (or close to it) that she gave:
"I bonked my arm on the wall at grandma's house.  I had go to hospital and I didn't have surgery.  Then I went back to grandma's."
Note, a little girl at daycare recently had surgery and it was discussed yesterday at daycare.

When home sick on Thursday:
"Mom, we should watch a movie or somethin'.  Or we can go outside and play in the snow."

When called anything other than Anna:
"I'm not ______, I'm Anna."

On a night I was out for cooking club, I had told Anna she needed to make sure that Daddy was good while I was gone.  In the morning we had this conversation:
M-Were you good last night for Daddy?
A-Uh, huh.  Daddy was good too.
I love how she remembers previous conversations!

While I was getting ready in the bathroom she was going in and out, opening and closing the door and it banged into the wall a couple times.
A-(to the door) You need to take a break.
M-Who needs to take a break Anna?
A-The door.
M-Why does the door need to take a break?
A-It was hittin the wall.

While discussing the possible names of our 2nd child, Anna finally came up with an option she likes.
M-What do you think we should name the new baby Anna?
A-Rueben Marie.
Previously she has never answered with an actual name and I'm pretty clueless as to how she even came up with the name Rueben.  But we'll put it on the list....

We met with our realtor the other day to get some info about our house and the market, etc.  Anna went to our friends' house while we met with him.  She knew we were meeting with Jeff and it was something about our house.  When we picked her up, her first question to me:
"Did we get a new house?"
We have been discussing houses and apparently Anna has picked up more than we thought, she often makes comments such as:
"We need a new one, this one is old."
"We need a new house, a big one!"

She likes to tell you where she lives, she has almost all the numbers in the street address, but for sure knows the road, town and state.  She knows the last 7 digits of my phone number, the area code usually ends up a number or two off though.  I feel pretty confident though, that if she had to call 911 they  might be able to figure out where to go....since there are only two other houses on our street we have a pretty good shot!

There are so many others that I can never remember...I have been compiling a few just over the past three days and this is what I can remember at the end of the day when coming to the computer to blog.  I know I'm missing so many....I need to start carrying a notebook with me to write it all down!  She doesn't miss a beat!
