Saturday was my 29th birthday, so we had a nice weekend celebrating the start of my last year in my 20's!
Friday night, Grandpa and Grandma F came up to take us out for dinner for my birthday. I picked a family favorite, Famous Dave's! At the end I even got a big birthday ice cream sundae!
Anna was so excited about the ice cream--although she doesn't love ice cream--she wanted to give everyone a bite.
Here you go Mom!
Daddy's turn!
Grandma's bite! Anna did a tricky, over the shoulder style bite!
And now for Papa (who has started to become Grandpa rather than Papa lately).
Hugs for Papa Randy.
The three of us finishing up the rest of the ice cream...
Bite Anna?? She didn't want one, she just wanted to give everyone else bites!
Daddy and Mommy.
Saturday morning we celebrated my birthday with a cake made by Grandma Lori. Anna was in charge of candles.
She takes this job really seriously.
Pretty proud of her work.
Explaining to Daddy the art of candle placement.
Family photo with the cake.
Woah, that's a lot of candles!
Admiring her work....excited to help blow them out.
Help me blow out the candles, Anna?
Time for presents and cards! Anna opened many of them for me, and showed me what was inside. This is her opening the card she got for me.
I got the book Goodnight iPad. Awesome book--very updated from Goodnight Moon!
Reading the book--Anna and Daddy loved it.
After breakfast, Mommy and Daddy had an appointment, so Anna got to play with Papa and Grandma and Bailey. They played dress up of course!
Princess Anna and Pretty in Pink Bailey.
After dress up, this is what Anna wanted to spend the day in....warm jammies! My kind of Saturday!
Saturday afternoon Grandma and Papa headed home to greet Uncle Jason who is now back from Virginia. We're so happy that everyone is back in the Midwest!
We did get some time outside in the snow Saturday afternoon too--lots of sledding and snow ball fights...and of course hot chocolate when we came in!
It was a wonderful birthday weekend, family, relaxing, great food. Can't ask for much more!
