Just a few things about Anna lately...
- She's officially, 100%, completely diaper free. Days and nights. It's amazing. We haven't had to change a diaper in over 2 weeks in this house. The irony....any day now we'll have plenty of diaper changing to do. The little break has been nice.
- Anna is our little technological guru. She wants to play the iPad every day. She doesn't always get to, but if it were up to her, she'd play daily, for hours. Really it's tough to justify why she shouldn't play it, since she spends the entire time playing games learning letters, numbers, putting together puzzles. "No honey, you can't practice your spelling or number identification." Hmm...
- Perhaps thanks to the iPad (and other practice at daycare and home), Anna can identify her letters and numbers.
- She very clearly can write some letters and is really into drawing "portraits" of people. The "people" even have eyes, noses, mouths and round heads. Pretty impressive.
- Her coloring has really come a long ways too...she is really great at keeping close to the lines when coloring a picture. Don't get me wrong, still very messy, but you can start to see definition.
- Cutting is one of Anna's favorite hobbies. She loves to cut the coupons out of the newspapers, and cuts really well right along the lines. If you want some coupons cut, just send them our way and she'd be happy to be your cutter! Anytime she sees a dotted line she feels compelled to cut along it.
- We heard the tornado sirens the other night and this has spurred a lot of questions about it: what does that noise mean (which we have explained many times now), where does it come from (the park about a block away), and when can we go see the siren (we did point it out to her last night on our walk through the park...which spurred even more questions). Our curious little girl....can't get anything past her!
Our princess enjoying some iPad time:
