After a great week of VBS, the girls started their Sunday singing all of their new songs in church and enjoyed a carnival after. Our girls got an extra special surprise and got to go to Como Zoo after the church carnival. Grandpa and Grandma F were up staying in Stillwater and we met them at the Zoo for some fun.
The traditional photo on the turtle.
Fun with the giraffes.
Then the girls were VERY excited to get to ride on some rides! This was Claire's first ride experience and later she went on to enjoy more at the Carver County Fair. She was a HUGE fan!
Train ride!
Frog Hopper! This was the infamous ride Anna had as her first ride when she was 4. She was so excited and it turned out pretty awful. However, this year she came back to redeem herself...and Claire joined her. Claire loved the ride and Anna enjoyed it this time as well.
Anna got all brave and did hands in the air!
Then we got really brave and hit up the roller coaster. This was Anna's first coaster ride and while nervous at first, she loved it! On the first climb up, I asked Anna what we were doing going on a coaster and her response, "Mom, you talked me into this!"
In this picture she looks a little nervous....
But here you can see a smile past the bar blocking her face.
It was a huge success. She went on to do some crazy superman ride at the County Fair!
This ride was more Claire's style....
After the coaster, this one seemed a little lame for Anna.
The girls both discovered a new love of amusement rides...and Mommy realized she's getting to a point where they scare her more than ever before. "When was the last time this thing was inspected?" went through my head as we got on that roller coaster.

that roller coaster looks a lot better than the old one!
