It's been a cold few weeks and we have spent a lot of time inside, snuggling under blankies and watching some movies. However, we still head out to school and work and squeeze in a few other fun activities.
Claire likes to play with Mommy's phone on a regular basis. She loves to take selfies....she's a bit of a ham for the camera. This was one night while we were at church preparing for the community dinner. The girls get to help prep food, set up and Anna has served the last two months. On this night, Claire wasn't feeling great, so she got to play with my phone until Daddy arrived to take her to the doctor. She had an ear infection. Poor girl...still looking happy!
And silly!
Anna didn't want to be outdone by Claire's major ear infection....she had to have a sick day at home as well. This one was well-deserved...for both of us! She got off the bus and came to my classroom on Thursday and complained of a headache. I had her lay down on my coat with a blankie while I kept working. A few minutes later she was throwing up....oh it was an adventure. I'll spare you the details. She had a repeat on Friday morning which solidified our need to have a sick day at home. We spent about 3 hours playing Uno and another 3 watching movies. I'd say it was a good and healing day for everyone.
Saturday Anna was feeling better and got to attend basketball practice and a friend's birthday party. While Anna was at the party, Claire and Mommy ran errands. It was a special day, so Claire got a hot chocolate from Starbucks. Lucky, and happy, little girl!
Other than just the normal busy of life and work, we've been enjoying this cold weather as an excuse to just stay home. Aunt Kate visited us this past weekend and we enjoyed some extra time with her before she heads back to school again. Looking forward to the week--it's the official start of semester 2 at school--half way to summer!
