4 Month Stats

Anna had her 4 month appointment today and she scored very well! Here are her official stats:

Height: 26.5 inches (this is an increase of 6 inches since birth) > 95%
Weight: 16 pounds, 12 ounces (in crease of 8 pounds, 2 ounces since birth) >95%
Head: Not remembering right now the circumference, but it was in the 91%


She has met all the milestones set for 4 month olds and is well on her way to more milestones--sitting up is next! Anna can now roll over both front to back and back to front. We were given the go ahead to start solids...cereal first and then we'll start investigating those veggies and fruits. We haven't tried it yet, but this weekend might prove to be an exciting one in terms of messy face pictures! We'll keep the blog posted!

Along with four month appointments of course comes the 4 month shots. :-( They make both Anna and mommy cry! It's painful to watch, but worthwhile knowing she's protected. I'm supposed to keep an eye on her today and tomorrow for any reactions. She did fine with her 2 month shots, so we're not too concerned, but of course we'll give her plenty of snuggles after all that pain.

The doctor a
lso confirmed what we already thought to be true...there are two little white nubs starting on her bottom gums. Teeth are on the horizon! Another great adventure!

Overall, she got a great report, and of course the doctor thought she was perfect and beautiful! In fact, she said had she not known any better, she would have guessed her to be 6 months old based on her length and head control. She's a big, growing girl!

Daycare has been going exceptionally well for her this week. She's been very smiley and happy and has gotten a good report every day. It's been a busy transition back to work, but it's really easy when you know she's well cared for during the day. It's so fun to pick her up at the end of a busy day at school and she's smiling and excited to see us!


This weekend we are going to visit grandparents and attend a friend's wedding. It's going to be yet another busy weekend, but full of excitement, pictures, and fun! It's always good to see everyone, but we sure do pack things into the weekends to make them go too fast and tiring! It's worth it though, we wouldn't have it any other way!
