First Day of "School"

Monday was our last day of summer which means that Tuesday was the first day of school at our house! Mommy went to her school and Anna had her first day of "school" as well! The night before we were all organized with all our bags packed and diapers ready to go, alarms were set (or so we thought). Tuesday morning I jumped out of bed when Brian's alarm went off telling me it was 6:25...only 50 minutes after I had scheduled myself to be up and out of bed! I took the fastest shower of my life, threw my hair up and some clothes on and got Anna up and ready to go as well. It was quite rushed, not the way I wanted our first day of school to go, but luckily we had pre-packed and it was just a matter of getting ready for the day. We did take a few minutes to get the traditional first day of school picture!

Well, since that crazy Tuesday morning, we have things together...and the alarms are set correctly this time! Anna had a great three day stretch with Ronda (our back up daycare). Anna had a lot of fun and of course they just loved her there! Mommy did very well too :-) It felt good to be back to school and getting ready for new students. It is going to be a fun and busy year. both at school and for our little family!

We are enjoying a nice long weekend at home, it's been a while since we had one of those! Then it's back to work and school on Tuesday. We're excited to get into the routine and fun of the fall!
