Aaron and Anna have been friends since they days that they were each born. Aaron was born in February, Anna in May; they first officially met when Anna was four days old. They have been best friends (kind of) ever since. After a fun BBQ with friends on Friday night, we headed to Rush City on Saturday to spend the day with Aaron. The daddies went fishing and the mommies enjoyed some mommy time and watched the kiddos play together...usually very happily.
Here are some pictures from the day:
Sharing very nicely.
Anna loved the stairs...Aaron watched on, knowing she was being dangerous!
She just liked sitting like this on the first step.
On the couch together. Anna wants Aaron to share his ball.
He's not so sure he wants to...
So he moved.
Jumpin on the couch!
If you won't give me your football, I'll take your bear blankie.
Duet!
Run! They are coming!
When the daddies got home from fishing they played a modified game of catch...one baby at the top of the stairs, one at the bottom.
Throw it up there Anna!
Here it comes!
Top of the stairs...
More duet time!
They had a lot of fun together. Aaron wasn't really sure he wanted to share his toys with a girl, and Anna wasn't so sure she liked that he wouldn't just give her whatever toy she wanted to play with. Overall, it was a great day for everyone.
Today was a lazy Sunday. We needed it. We've been busy and going since Wednesday night and it was time for a go nowhere kind of day. We played outside; we played inside; we baked a cake; we went for a walk. The best part though, was our trip to the park about 5 blocks away...Anna LOVED the playground. It was her first time to this park and she wasn't so sure about the whole swinging thing, but she loved the rocks and the slides, and most of all she loved the little tunnel. I kicked myself for not having brought the camera, so we'll definitely be going back VERY soon. Great photo opportunity and great fun!
This week shouldn't be as busy as last week...but you never know! Our schedule always manages to fill right up! Tuesday I'm going to a big sale with some friends in Edina, hopefully we'll score some great summer clothes for Anna! She is definitely in need of 18 month and bigger clothes! Grandma and Grandpa F might be coming up this weekend or next and we'll definitely hit up some garage sales. Anna is desperate for some outside toys. We really have nothing for outside, so the plan is to find some entertainment to slow down the need to eat rocks, leaves, grass, etc. We'll let you know how it goes!
