Happy Valentine's Day!

We don't actually have any Valentine's Day pictures to share, but we do have pictures of us loving our little peanut and all the fun things we get to share with her.

We have had a wonderful Valentine's Day.  Anna took her treats to Sandra's to share with her friends and came home with more treats than I remember getting in my 3rd grade Valentine exchange and there are only 9 kids at Sandra's including Anna!  She loved the candy, stuffed animals, sunglasses, and all the goodies she got today!  After we got home and inspected her V-Day loot, we headed out to meet Daddy for supper before he headed to bowling.  We had a nice dinner with Daddy and some friends and now are back at home, Anna is in bed, and Mommy is catching up on things...blogging, laundry, the usual.

Well, for pictures today, we have an assortment from the past two weeks.   Enjoy...

For my birthday, Anna and Daddy made a cake.  A homemade cake...from scratch.  It was delicious.  I realized I forgot to post these cute pictures of my favorite bakers:

Anna and Daddy mixing up some cake.
Loving the cheesy grin and the apron!
Anna helped dump things in.  She loves being a part of it all!
 More sugar please!
Sweet face.  Even with a runny nose.

 Another random picture...

Anna came home a few days ago with a tattoo on her hand.  It was Diego.  She was very proud of her tattoo.  When he came off in the bath she said, "Uh oh.  Diego go?"

This past weekend we enjoyed some time at home.  Daddy spent some time clearing the snow off the deck so we could reach our grill again and Uncle James came up and delivered a huge assortment of beef.  So of course, we grilled!  In the course of the grilling, Anna found Brian's shoes by the door and thought she would try them on for size.
 Fall down!
Love the cheese face!
More walking in the big shoes!  Sadly, one day she may fit into these....she's a growing!
We are excited to take Anna for her 2 year old pictures in a couple months, but we know how badly the last few photo sessions have gone...she wants nothing to do with the photographer.  So, we're going to "practice" getting our picture taken.  This was our first attempt at just sitting while getting pictures taken.  She thought it was fun.  We thought we would let Pascal in on the fun...he didn't find it quite as fun as we did....

 Lovin' the laugh!
 Poor Pascal.
We are hopeful that practicing will help us have a very successful photo shoot in a few months.  Last week when we were at the doctor we had about 20 minutes to kill before he came in and Anna and I went through all the things the doctor was going to do.  We looked in her puppy's ears, nose, eyes, listened to his heart, etc.  And then puppy did the same to Anna.  After about 5 rounds of this, she did wonderfully when the real doctor came in.  She didn't cry once, and only had a hard time letting him look in her mouth.  It was amazing, so we're hopeful that this practicing will pay off!

Sunday, while Uncle James was still here, we headed across the city to Underwater World.  We had never been, so it was finally time we check it out.  Anna LOVED it.  She took her sweet time going through the tanks; although she was very nervous when the sharks were swimming above her head.

 Look Dad!  A big one!
Shark!
 She was amazed.
We've had a lot of fun weeks and weekends lately.  We had friends up last weekend too and Anna stayed at home with "Auntie" Shari while Mommy and Daddy went with friends to a show.  She had so much fun with Shari and was so good.  Then Lindsay and Andy and Renee and David stayed for some fun for the weekend!  We had a wonderful time and were so glad that Anna did well with a "babysitter."  She hasn't had many in her short 21 months of life (outside of Sandra), so we're glad that when she does, it goes smoothly!

This week brings a pretty blank calendar, and we aren't complaining.  With the weather getting more beautiful outside we are anxious for spring.  Summer will be here before we know it; we're already starting to plan all our fun!  Anna will be talking up a storm by then; she's already telling us what to do....like tonight when we got home, after listening to Lion King the whole way home, I was in a "Can you feel the love tonight?" singing kind of mood and Anna said, "No!  Stop!  Stop Singing!"  Apparently she doesn't love my out of tune voice anymore...
