Anna-isms

No Music
Anna doesn't like to listen to the music in the car and often shouts from the back seat, "No music!"  I often oblige, but when she asks for her movie, I say, "No movie!"  And then we chat and have a "conversation" about how her day was instead.

Conversation
Anna heard me say this word tonight while I was telling Daddy about Sandra commenting on Anna asking "Is it?" to everything even when she knows what or who it is.  I said, she's just practicing her conversation skills.  Then Anna decided that was the new word of the day and asked, "Mommy conversation?  Daddy conversation?  Pascal conversation?"  The actual word conversation doesn't come out quite that clearly, but it's pretty close, she gets all the syllables.

Santa Claus
Everyday on our way home from Sandra's house, we pass a house that still has a plastic Santa in the front yard.  Everyday we watch for Santa and for the past few weeks he has been tipped over.  So when Anna sees him, she shouts, "Santa!  Fall down!  Funny!"  Then repeats the phrase about 10 times until we get to the house that has a snowman....

Walk
Tonight we were able to get outside for our first after dinner walk of the season!  It was spectacular!  Anna loved riding in her stroller with her blanket and we all loved the fresh air!  Hopefully this weather stays!  Anna's favorite part of the walk was when we finally got back to our street and she got to get out and run to "Anna's house!"

'mon
Anna's getting much better/worse about giving directions.  She thinks that she is the boss and she will tell you exactly what you are supposed to be doing and when.  Often when I try to make supper, she shouts, "No!  Out!  'Mon (come-on)!"  Then grabs my hand, pulls me to the living room and instructs me to "Sit down!"  While sometimes we allow her to be the "boss" often she is disappointed when we do actually have to spend some time making supper before we sit down and play.

Just thought my readers might like a few of the latest Anna-isms.  Today is her 22 month birthday.  Two more months and she's TWO!  It's really hard to believe that she's going to be two already.  One more year and we'll be thinking about pre-school options and sending our big girl to school!  Yikes!
