This weekend was a celebration of Claire being baptized. It was a special event and fun family weekend.
Grandpa and Grandma S and Aunt Kate came up on Friday and we spent Saturday hanging out and cooking for a fun lunch in honor of Claire on Sunday.
Sunday we headed early to church and met Aunt Amy, Uncle Jason, Cousin Will and Great-Grandpa and Grandma there.
Claire was excited to see her guests arrive.
And obviously Anna was too!
Anna opened a special present for Claire from Grandpa and Grandma F, who couldn't be with us that day, but were there in spirit and via Skype!!
Aunt Amy helped Claire put on her new necklace.
Pretty Claire.
Now she's ready to go!
She's excited and full of drool as usual! And check out her cute hair, lying down even!
Our crew at church...in the front row!
We had to be there early so Anna could practice pouring the special water with Daddy and Pastor Jeanine.
Daddy got to join Anna and Will for children's time.
And then it was the big moment!
Pouring the water for real with everyone watching. Anna later told me it was really a hard job.
Claire's getting baptized.
Claire returned to us after meeting the congregation with a beautiful blanket made by one of the women in the congregation.
This was the view Grandpa and Grandma F had via Skype. They reported that it was like they were there! It was so great that they could be a part of it!
All this baptism stuff wore Claire out. We have a very similar picture of Anna after her baptism.

Picture with Pastor Jeanine. She was so wonderful!
Godmother and wonderful Aunt Kate with her favorite nieces.
Traditional family picture in front of the food before we eat!
We tried to get a sister's picture but Claire was a bit worn out by this point. They are still so cute together!
Anna and Will had a great afternoon of playing!
Anna showed him how to skate.
Will had to try it too!
Anna is going to be sad when Claire wants to start opening her own presents! But for now, Anna does a great job!
Will helped too!
The kids enjoyed reading Claire's new book. They are silly little kids!
It was a great weekend and very special for Claire. We were so happy that everyone could share it with us.
