Claire's latest interesting factoids:
- Sister's got dimples. I think I've mentioned this a time or two, but man do we get to see a lot of them now with all the smiles she gives. We love going into her room in the morning to see the big cheeky grins.
- Sister recognizes all three of us now. She smiles big for Daddy, Mommy and Anna and we all love to keep her going! Claire really watches Anna intently when she's playing nearby.
- Now we're rolling! She's going from tummy to back pretty easily these days. Her tummy time is short lived because she likes to flip over now. She pushes up really high now and enjoys the start of tummy time because she can see everything, but then gets annoyed and rolls back over.
- Claire has found her thumb. Sister has always been a fist/thumb sucker, but lately she's gotten pretty good at getting just that thumb in her mouth. She's not a huge pacifier fan, which is ok with us, but I'm not sure how I feel about the thumb either. Oh well, whatever makes her happy!
- Claire has only gotten good reports from her teachers at school. They love her and love to cuddle her. She takes great naps and her teacher commented that she's one of the only babies who never turns down her bottle. She's our good little eater.
- She's our sleeper. I am probably going to jinx our luck but so far, she's been an awesome sleeper! Bed time is around 8:30 and then she's down for the night until about 6:00. Although, this morning she apparently was confused...she got up around 4:15 and was hungry. After eating she didn't want to go back to sleep until almost 5:30, right before Mommy's alarm was ready to go off. However, we can't complain, because this was her first time waking up before my alarm since school started. Hopefully it was just a fluke.
- Nicknames. Claire has quite a few of them. Just to name a few: Clairebear, Sister, Boo, Claire Pear (only fitting since we have Anna Banana), Miss MaGee, Goosey, and many other random ones that haven't stuck on quite as strong yet.
- And finally, the hair. How can we not mention the awesomeness that is Claire's hair? Her hair has a mind of it's own. It likes to stand up and be seen. It draws the attention of many people when we are out. We try to tame it down with bows, but the back still sticks straight up. It fits her personality. She's a pretty "go with the flow" kind of baby and her hair fits her style. It's also cool because it has a bit of a red tint like Mommy's.
Claire is our little peanut. We love her so much and are so happy to have been blessed with her as our daughter and sister. We are loving watching her grow so much already. The second child is so different from the first. You really sit back and enjoy the little things and feel less rushed or anxious to see them meet that next milestone. We are soaking it all in and it's wonderful.
