Well, September sure flew by and we have finished another month filled with lots of good stuff. I haven't posted a few of the random pictures from the past couple weeks, aside from baptism, so here's a nice assortment of our goings on.
Here's our Bumbo lovin' girl. Sitting up straighter and taller each day.
And here's our big girl riding in a car with a boy! Her best buddy Aaron took her for a ride in his Jeep. She again tried to drive as she did about six months ago and hasn't improved much. She'll get it some day....the daddies mentioned something about female drivers.
Our little smiley girl. She's so full of smiles when she's not tired or hungry.
Another Bumbo shot. Happy as can be.
On Friday this past week we went to watch the homecoming parade for Mommy's school. Here's the crew enjoying the view.
Anna and "Auntie Pam."
Here comes the parade.
Anna quickly caught on to the part where you run out and grab as much candy as you can...she loved it!
Claire loved the snuggling with Mommy's co-worker Denise!
Our big girl with a bow in her hair! Claire loves working on her leg strength. Anna took this picture!

And back when Anna was of exersaucer age, we had a little picture progression of her discovering the duck in the water on the tray....well, today Claire also discovered that duck and it was like a little flashback.
"How did you get in there ducky?"
"Mom, what's this all about?"
"Can I touch you ducky?"
"Hmm...."
"I'm very focused."
"I think he quacked!"
"Forget you duck...I am moving on."
What a wonderful weekend of staying home, enjoying the cool temperatures and having nothing on the agenda. We've had a busy past few weeks and have a couple busy weeks coming up, so it was nice to have two days to ourselves to get some things checked off our lists and just enjoy some time together.
Claire is coming up on the 4 month mark in 11 days, and it's just crazy to think about. She's rolling from front to back and really close to going from back to front. Her head control is great and of course so is her hair. She's a pretty happy baby almost all of the time. She is really observing things now, keeping her eyes on her big sister most of the time. She gets really excited when you reach to pick her up and she recognizes us when we get her at school.
Anna is really loving preschool and shocks us everyday with the things she's learning about. Today she told me that red and yellow mix together to make orange and also told me all of the other basic color mixes and wondered what color you get if you mix green and purple. The things that come out of her mouth make us laugh daily. She loves to play teacher and Claire is her student. She sings us her songs she learns at school and loves to "read" books to us.
This morning at church Pastor Jeanine commented on what a good baby Claire is during church, and said, "You two are really lucky." We definitely agree, in many ways, we are very lucky.
