Christmas Program

The weekend of the 14th, the girls had their Christmas program at school.  This is our first year at this new school so we weren't sure exactly what to expect, but it was the most adorable thing ever!  The girls were supposed to dress in their Christmas best and they both had parts in the program. The teachers had been talking about it for weeks and the kids had been practicing for months...literally since before Thanksgiving!  It was a big event, so Grandpa and Grandma F along with Aunt Kate were here to watch!

The girls got all fancy in their red Christmas dresses.

The program was awesome!  It started with the infants, waddlers and toddlers being "herded" or strolled in with their teachers.  They got up on stage and "sang" two songs while ringing jingle bells.  Claire's classmates were sat in wrapped boxes or on chairs and really just sat and looked cute.  Claire wasn't too sure about it and we have a couple great pictures of her almost crying and then just deciding to chew on the box.  The pictures include classmates so we won't be posting them, but it was super cute, take my word for it :)

After the little kids' performance, the preschool class was up. They sang "Little Drummer Boy" and "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas."  Again, adorable!  They had actions for the songs and Anna did a great job with all the actions and she knew all the words.  Her and her friend Greta stood next to each other and had a bit of a giggle fit between songs, but pulled it back together for their big finish.

After their performances, they came and sat with us and we watched the big kids finish up.  They ended the night with some cookies of course!

On our way back to their classrooms to pick up their stuff, Anna passed the gumball machine that she sees everyday.  She has asked to get a gumball almost daily for the past few weeks so this was her big chance, Grandma of course gave her the quarter she needed.  She was so excited about her gum!    She ended up taking a tiny nibble and not liking it, but she was really excited about getting it in the first place!

When we got home from the program, Grandma and Grandpa had brought a little present for the girls, ornaments to hang on the Christmas tree.

Anna got Cinderella to hang on the tree....

And Anna helped Claire open her "Little Peanut" ornament.

It was a fun night and very festive!  Claire's first Christmas was off to a great start!

  1. Claire is so cute and I am loving her hair! I am super jealous Anna lets you do her hair! We only get a clippy or a headband, so everyone can see her "Punzel" hair long and flowy :(
