A fun family tradition we have started is heading to downtown Minneapolis to check out the 8th floor Macy's display and then having pizza and watching the Holidazzle parade. This year, since Katie and Grandpa Randy and Grandma Lori were here, they got to enjoy the festivities as well!
Anna and Kate were so excited to see Santa's workshop at Macy's!
And this was our view of Claire through the whole exhibit.
Anna checking out the cool stuff!
Cute girl!
Posing with Mommy by the cookie baking elves!
Posing with Daddy by the presents!
And then at the end you can sit on Santa's lap and tell him what you want for Christmas. Well, this year we had a few Santa experiences, but this was the first time Anna would sit on his lap.
At first she would just sit there, but not look at him....
Santa said, "Smile for the picture!"
"What do you want for Christmas Anna?"
One more photo opportunity.
And then it ended with a hug.
It was a pretty big deal!
Afterwards she went out and wrote a letter to Santa in case he wasn't sure yet what to bring her.
She sent it off to him, asking for a baby that cries!
And finally she got to enjoy a big green frosted cookie!
With Grandpa and Grandma!
Claire with her Aunt Kate and Mommy....also enjoying a sweet treat.
Family picture time! Claire finally woke up!
After Macy's we went out for pizza and then bundled up for the parade.
Claire was so excited for the parade.
Group picture...Claire fell asleep.
Anna was pumped!
Mommy cuddled Claire to keep her warm and dry....yep, it was raining.
Group picture with Grandma this time!
If I ever get to participate in the parade, I want to be one of these....
After the parade we headed down a block to Uncle Ron and Aunt Kathy's place to warm up.
Claire of course woke up so she could entertain!
Uncle Ron was also entertaining!
Anna played well with Will....they pushed each other around in the stroller and only crashed a few times.
It was a great evening and we were glad to share it with our extended family!
