We woke up Christmas morning to the sound of little feet pattering down the hall.
"Mommy? Can we watch cartoons?"
"Sure, Anna, but don't you want to go downstairs to see if Santa came?"
She did want to go downstairs and left the cartoons for later! She was a little scared to be the first one down, Mommy had to lead...but once we got down and she saw that the coast was clear, she was so excited!
In our living room was a pile of presents for each girl, under the tents that Daddy and Mommy had made as a Christmas morning surprise!
Santa brought Anna the lady bug pillow pet that she had really wanted for her naps at school and some puzzles and games. She also got some snacks in her stocking along with socks, a toothbrush, hair bows and may other little trinkets.
Here she is opening her Christmas ornament from Mommy and Daddy that sings "I Want a Hippopotamus for Chrsitmas!"
Trying on Daddy's stocking!
Giving Claire the present she picked out for her, the book Chicka-Chicka-Boom-Boom.
Claire had a wonderful Christmas morning too! She was not quite as excited initially, but once she saw all the paper she could try to eat, she was thrilled! Claire got a new swing that we can hang outside next summer and a huge box of diapers! She also got some hair bows, socks and Mum-Mums to snack on! Both girls had a great morning playing with their new toys and cuddling in jammies!
Our happy girl!
Checking out her new tent.
These will serve us well for future living room camp outs!
The rest of our Christmas Day was spent eating some breakfast and Daddy made prime rib for lunch. We spent most of the day in our jammies and Skyped with family to share the excitement of our morning. It was a wonderful day.
