We are now two days into summer and it is wonderful!
Our first day of summer, Anna wanted to spend her entire day in her jammies, and she did. I even offered a couple times to go for a bike ride, but she didn't want to, because she'd rather wear her jammies all day long. So, we embraced a day at home. We played, cleaned, organized, played, read, slept, ate, and played some more. It was a very nice day at home.
Today was a little more productive outside the house. We went to the library and hit up Target. Biked/strolled to a couple neighborhood garage sales. Got a new game at said garage sales for 50 cents and spent the afternoon playing Hi-Ho-Cherry-Oh!
Tomorrow we have a park play date scheduled with the mom's from our church and then out for pizza for Friday pizza night.
It's so wonderful to have no strict schedule to follow.
We haven't had the nicest weather yet this summer, but we are still enjoying these cool days outside. We are anxious for some sun and warm temps....Anna keeps asking when she gets to fill the pool. Hopefully that happens at some point this summer!
In other news....
Claire's been working hard on her walking. She's pretty much an exclusive walker, or thinks she is... She still stumbles from time to time and walks with her arms out like Frankenstein. She's so proud of herself. She really loves being a big girl. She loves to climb the step stool in the kitchen and see what's going on up on the counter; she loves to roll around on the floor with her sister giggling. She's only a few days away from being officially one! Anna had fun today picking out some supplies for Claire's birthday party! She's so excited to celebrate her sister!
Lots of excitement yet to come in our summer! Stay tuned for more fun and hopefully some photos :)
