Today marks the first official snow day of the school year! Yesterday the girls helped Daddy get the garage ready for winter. Toys put up, bikes hung, sleds down, mower put away, snowblower prepped. They were pretty excited to get their sleds out.
They even pulled them around the yard.
Claire is a nut.
Then today....they got their sleds out again, but they had good reason!
The call finally came at 6:05, just as I was about to get out of bed after a few snoozes. I had given up all hope of a snow day phone call, and then it came! Yay! The girls wanted to go right outside after breakfast, so we did. It was cold and the snow has been falling all day. It mixes between light snow, sleet, slush, heavy big flakes. We have seen it all today. It's very windy and cold.
This morning after we were done playing outside we went down the street to our friend's house and played inside. They have a trampoline in their basement, so the girls LOVED jumping, or as Claire called it "hopping" all morning.
What a great first snow day.
