One week ago today, I gave my final presentation for my Master's Degree and I couldn't feel more wonderful! I turned in my last paper tonight, have one more class on Saturday and then will celebrate with graduation in May. Oh, how good it feels! It was a wonderful experience, but there was ALWAYS something to do or something to be working on, with no semester breaks or time off, and now I feel both accomplished and relieved that we can relax for a while.
This weekend was the first weekend in a LONG time we didn't have something going on and I didn't have a long list of school work to complete. It was a delight.
We kicked off the weekend with pizza night. The girls opted for Papa Murphy's because they love to get mini Murphy's and make their own pepperoni-green olive pizzas. They also love this Papa Murphy's because they get to supervise the making of the pizzas.
After our pizza, we enjoyed the beautiful night with a fire and some s'mores!
Saturday we spent the ENTIRE day outside. We started our morning with a 10+ mile bike ride to our friend Shari's house in the next town. We followed that with a wonderful lunch at the meat store in town and ice cream at our favorite ice cream shop just blocks from our house. So glad it's open again. Unfortunately, none of this was caught on camera, we were far too busy having fun to get pictures.
When we got home, we decided to stay outside and the girls washed Daddy's car and we cleaned out the garage. It feels so good to be spring! We skipped naps and Claire and Anna just rode their bikes up and down the street until their little tummies decided they were ready for supper.
After supper we put on our jammies and of course, ran to Menards to get more organizing materials for our garage organization project. Apparently skipping naps made for a tired Claire:
Sister slept the entire trip through Menards and back home and was tucked into her bed where she stayed until morning. It was a great day outside.
Today was a rainy day so we got to stay inside and do inside things. Brian had a bowling tournament, so the girls stayed home and we played and cleaned and enjoyed the relaxation of not having anything to do or anywhere to be.
We took silly pictures on the couch.
The girls went to our neighbor friends' house to play with their girls, Makenna and Kiley who are Anna and Claire's ages. I enjoyed two hours on my own, running errands at Target of course and reading a book from my book list for fun for an hour.
Oh, how we are embracing this new life after Master's work. This summer is going to be epic.

Congrats on being done with your masters! Must feel great!
