Our Thanksgiving Feast
Thanksgiving weekend means Christmas trees! This year we cheated a tiny bit and bought from the Lion's....it was a great tree and the girls didn't mind that it was fast, because it was chilly!
Anna did the star!
The girls tried egg nog....you can see what they thought of it.
We had lots of fun baking this year.
Gingerbread houses are always a favorite tradition.
The girls are always lots of help in the kitchen. Claire's helping with the M&M's and Anna is on camera duty.
Snowy faces.
Visiting with Santa. Claire preferred the little chair.
Anna was more comfortable with Santa.
Family night checking out the lights.
Christmas Eve angels for the live nativity story at church.
Christmas Eve soup supper.
Christmas Jammies.
Girls ready for bed!
Christmas morning was a delight. The girls had a lot of fun playing with their new toys and giving gifts to one another.
Anna & Claire got a Hatchimal....but it was a dud. Big disappointment, but more fun was had with other toys.
Like Legos! Lots of Legos.
Legos were abundant!
And some chess games...on the board Daddy made!
Over break, we celebrated Christmas with friends Pam & Cheri with a visit to Sea Life!
Spent some time with Aunt Katie at the library playing chess.
Despite the first Hatchimal being a dud, they did send us a new one....we got to experience the "hatch" this time....interesting.
We celebrated the holidays with some friends in early January by making a turkuckin. It was delicious.
Lots of our winter was spent playing cards. Claire loves Kings Corners, Speed, Solitaire, Go Fish, Skip Bo....we could go on and on!
Our Christmas was also spent with extended family in Iowa. We had a great, but really fast, weekend with family celebrating Christmas. We also traveled back to Iowa over New Year's to celebrate Cousin Nick's wedding to Emily. It was also a busy, fast weekend, but so great to see family! Too bad we didn't do better about getting pictures of all the fun!
