Another installment of Anna's Great Adventures!

It's only Wednesday and we already have had some adventures this week! Sunday we spent the afternoon with Chris, Renee, and Nathan and enjoyed some delicious Chinese food and good friends! Of course there may have been some delicious cookies involved as well. Anna had a great time playing with Nathan. She took a nap on our way to their house and then didn't sleep the 5+ hours we were there. She was too entertained by Nathan and his crazy 2 year old energy.

Monday night was a quiet night at home, back to our "usual" routine.

Tuesday night after work, I picked Anna up and we went on a little road trip to my friend and co-worker's house to help paint some stripes on her nursery wall for her baby boy, due to arrive in January. We had a fun time painting with her and Quarve and of course Kaiser! Anna was the entertainment for Jessica while Quarve and I did the taping and painting. For the most part Anna had fun...she just didn't like when she noticed she wasn't always being held by her mommy. She LOVED the big puppy though!

Some pictures from that great adventure:

Taping...
Painting...
Playing with Kaiser...
The finished product!
Tonight was due to be another big adventure! Tonight Anna had a friend over, Oliver, so his mommy and daddy could go out for dinner (which they hadn't done since February!). Oliver will be 1 at the end of the month and is a very nice young man...
Anna and Oliver had fun playing and he tried showing her all the great things she can get into once she figures out how to crawl like him.
Oliver.
Oliver intrigued by the camera.
Anna playing in her saucer. Looks like a tornado went through our living room behind her.
Oliver showing Anna how things work. More teaching by Oliver.
Playing on the floor together. Here you can see there isn't much of a size difference between these two.
They both needed a drink break.
Oliver showing Anna how to play with the magazines on the coffee table. He liked to turn the pages...Anna liked to EAT the pages.
Bottle Break.
Size comparison. Anna 4 days from 6 months old. Oliver 2 weeks (or so) from 1 year old.
Overall, it was a really great night. Oliver was a piece of cake to have around...although it is a little more chasing than we were used to. He's a quick little guy. Anna was watching him closely...I'm sure he taught her a thing or two about how to get those legs moving so she can start the chase game next!
Tomorrow night is Daddy and Anna bonding night as I have conferences. I'm sure they will have lots of fun together!
Friday is almost here...which means another weekend! This weekend we have a couple things on the agenda...family pictures for church on Saturday and then a baby shower for Jessica on Sunday! And on Sunday, Anna will officially be 6 months old. Half way to one year! Wow. Next Friday is her 6 month check up and shots. We're anxious to see how much she's grown.
Looking through past posts and thinking about this one, I'm not sure Anna has met any girls her age yet. She's got plenty of boyfriends! She may end up being quite the tomboy!

  1. She is going to be the pick of the town - no problem finding a date for prom! :-)
