Happy Thanksgiving to all of our avid readers! What a good weekend it was! We started the weekend on Thursday driving to Iowa in the morning, and Anna did fairly well traveling. She slept the first hour, was awake and needed a bottle the second hour, and slept again the last leg of the trip. We spent all day
Thursday with Grandpa and Grandma S and James and Kate. We had a nice turkey dinner and as always good entertainment just hanging out. Here are some pictures from Thursday:
Anna playing with Uncle James

She played shy a little most of the weekend. She wanted to make sure mommy and daddy were close by!

Meeting Sam.

Bunny Ears from James.

Reading her Dinosaurs book.

Playing with Grandpa. He helped her stand up.

UP!

Sitting with Uncle James...it's less scary to be away from mom or dad when you have your
paci!

With Grandma S, wearing her new
PJ pants grandma made for her.
On Friday we were at Grandma and Grandpa F's house for the day. We did some shopping of course for Black Friday, but didn't get up extra early for it! We did find some good deals though, and got some shopping done for Christmas! At G & G F's house Anna got to play with Bailey. She LOVES puppies. Sam and Bailey were great entertainment for her!
Seeing Bailey in his kennel.

Trying to touch his nose.

Taking a bath in the fun tub.

Eating breakfast. She's getting
really good at the
sippy cup. She has figured out how to drink from it when you hold it for her, but still struggles a bit to tip it far enough to get a drink on her own.

Playing in the Farm Saucer.

After a busy day of playing and shopping, Anna fell asleep and was ready to head back home. Here's a family picture before we loaded the car.

Anna slept the entire way home, played for about 20 minutes when we got home, and went back to bed. It was fun to see everyone, but always relaxing to be back home in her own bed.
The next morning she came in our room to play. She brought her paci along with her. She loves to put it in and pull it right back out of her mouth.
Although, sometimes she doesn't quite get it in right...

Saturday morning, we played. Anna is getting really good at pulling herself onto things. Still not officially crawling yet, but can really get around when she wants to. Right now, crawling has evolved....she gets up on all four...then pushes her legs out so she's in more of a bear crawl position than a baby crawl. We're getting closer to having a mobile baby!

Upside down!

Comfy...feet up on the table.

Anna has also mastered holding her own bottle.

She likes to do it herself!

She is VERY interested in reading books now. She already has her favorites..."Oh My Oh My Oh Dinosaurs" is one of the best.

Saturday morning Anna got a special treat in the mail...
Wartburg College (where Mommy went) sent her a special present. She got a t-shirt and a note saying she was an official
Wartburg Squire. There was also an enticing note saying if she went to
Wartburg College she would get the legacy scholarship....because mommy went there! Future Knight...

Excited to be a Knight!

Last night must have been a rough one for Anna....when I went in to wake her up for church, this is what I found....

She was very much still asleep and seemed rather comfy with her legs through the bars on her crib.

Right now Anna's taking a rest and we're getting some things done. We put the Christmas tree up last night with other decorations around the house. We'll take some pictures later today and post those as well!
