Mommy and Anna Day

Today was a great day. I took the day off because Ms. Sandra (our daycare provider) is having surgery on her hand so obviously wasn't able to watch the children today. Tomorrow Anna will go back to daycare with Sandra's daughter and Sandra will be back on Monday with a cast. Hopefully Anna's not too much of a handful for her with her cast on! So instead of sending Anna to our back-up today, I thought I would just take the day off and we'll do something fun. It wasn't too exciting, but it was a nice break in the middle of the week and now I only have to go back to school for Friday and really that doesn't count cause it's Friday!

Today Anna forgot that we were supposed to sleep in, so we were up bright and early at 6:30. It was okay though, because we were able to make the most of our day off. We had breakfast and got ready to go out and run some errands. We did a little girl shopping and then met daddy for lunch. We had a nice lunch with daddy and then we had a couple more errands to run...groceries for the weekend of course! Anna loves grocery shopping; she always wants to hold/eat the list....and sometimes she does just that. Good thing paper is pretty easy going down. :-)

When we got home, we decided we should take some fun pictures of mommy-Anna day and of course to document her being 8 months old tomorrow! 8 months old....that's REALLY close to the scary 12 months old...when we probably stop counting in months and start counting more in years! Wow...but we'll worry about that later...

So here are our pictures from today!

Our smiley, beautiful little girl.
Happy Mommy and Anna picture.
Anna got really excited about taking pictures!
Anna has been practicing at Sandra's and at home how to show us how big she is....she's got it down! How big are you Anna? Soooo big!
So big she has to really stretch!
Another Anna-Mommy picture.
Riding her car.
Shifting gears.
Standing, checking to see if Daddy's home yet.

Woah...kind of losing her balance. She's getting so brave to just hold on now with one hand only...
Eating the lens cap.
Sitting on the package we had to mail today to her new baby cousin who will be here very soon! She helped pick it out and wrap it up to be mailed.
Playing music at her table.
Cool crinkle paper!
Trying to eat the jack-in-the-box handle...
Lookin' good in those jeans!
She LOVES when we put her up on our shoulders. Especially if she can see herself in the mirror!
Another favorite...chewing on the old trunk...thinking deeply.
It was a day off for me from my 8th graders, but still a busy day using at least the same amount of energy running our errands and keeping Anna out of the cat food! She's so busy, busy, busy. I had to call the doctor's office today to schedule her nine month appointment for February. We're anxious for that appointment to find out how much she has grown...however we're scared they will soon be telling us she's out grown her car seat due to her height more than her weight. We just bought a new one to replace the "bucket" seat. She's not a tiny baby anymore...
