Third Christmas Celebration!

New Year's weekend was our third Christmas celebration and we have lots of pictures to show...along with a few from the week! I'll just tell the story as we go...

This is Anna signing her Grandpa and Grandma F's birthday card. They both have December birthday's and Anna's getting to a point where she needs to start writing her own name :)
Eating messy crunchy bread nakie. It's much easier to clean up when she's all ready to go into the tub!
So cute.
Christmas with G & G F was on Saturday morning. It's kind of interesting to see the progression of Anna and Christmas over the past three weeks. She has become more and more mobile and more and more interested in the whole ripping the paper thing....
She also loved climbing all over the presents. Is anyone watching me?
Making sure this one has her name on it...it was the biggest one!
This thing taped on here looks interesting...
...so she ripped it off. She decided it was time to start opening presents early so she got to play with her new penguins in her bath on Friday night.
Opening presents comes with lots of bows. Daddy put this one on her head...she couldn't quite see it, but she kept trying really hard.
Anna's a present!
Anna also was very interested in Bailey's kennel. She thought she might like to go in.
But learned she was too tall for the kennel.
More present climbing...
Getting really serious...feet off the ground!
On her knees praying she gets lots of presents!
Laughing with Daddy.
Anna and her paci....they are pretty much best friends. Anna will follow paci anywhere. She almost left paci behind in the pile of presents!
She got paci!
And is now ready to go...even though paci is upside-down.
It was finally time to open presents...for real this time.
Anna got a new penguin ornament.
And a new blanket made by Grandma and Great-grandma.
Opening with Daddy.
It's a new tool set just like daddy's!
Hurry and get it out Daddy!
Eating her first screwdriver.
Playing with her new tool bag. It has a saw, hammer, wrenches, and a screwdriver.
Daddy put another bow on her head...she couldn't see this one either.
Socks...(And Anna getting really tired.)
Jack-in-the-box from Aunt Jane.
Anna kind of crashed after the jack-in-the-box...so she took a nap and the festivities continued later....
The big present got opened....Anna got a sit and stand car. She LOVED it.
Here's Daddy trying to put it together...
Daddy reading the instructions...Anna waiting patiently.
How many people does it take to put this thing together?
Daddy distracting Anna while Mommy tries to put it together...
Kisses from Daddy.
Pictures while we wait for mommy to finish.
Can I help Mom? She even had her tool bag ready to help.
I think it's almost done!
Turning the key!
It works! I love it!
Driving her new car.
Showing Bailey how it works.
Quick picture with mommy.
More riding on the car.

Grandma showing Anna how to take a picture.
Daddy making funny noises in the tube.
As you can see, it was a picture-filled weekend. Anna played with her new toys quite a bit. She loved the spinny things on the new car and was very intruiged by the jack-in-the-box. She loved when he would come out! It was a very nice weekend, and besides celebrating Christmas, we just had a nice time enjoying the company of G & G.
We did a little shopping...got some great deals at Once Upon a Child. Anna is getting big as you can see from the pictures. She's currently in 12 month clothes, very close to being ready for some 18 month clothes. We found some good deals on future clothes and are starting to prepare for her to grow even more! Hopefully the growth slows down a little soon so we can wear clothes more than once!
It's amazing how quickly she went from worming or scooting her way around to crawling, pulling up on everything and even slowing inching her way around the coffee table. She's not an infant anymore...she's our big girl...and if you ask her she sometimes will even put her arms up to show that she's SOOO BIG! (SOO BIG is also one of her favorite books to read right now...right next to Peep,Peep says Little Chick.)
Anna's first Christmas(es) was wonderful. All three celebrations, although we were sick for our family one, were great. Very memorable. Next year and the years to come are going to be even more exciting and fun to see Anna change and grow. 2009 was a great year for us overall. We're anxious to see what 2010 has in store!
