Anna Updates

After our successful camping trip we had a great long weekend at home.  Brian had the rest of the week off so we got lots of fun time at home to relax and Uncle James and Grandpa S came up for a visit for the weekend as well.  We didn't really take many pictures, but Anna loved having them here.  She would sit for hours minutes on James's lap playing with his cell phone.  She loved reading books with Grandpa too. 

Anna's really growing in other ways than size now.  She's a tall girl and we think approaching the 33 inch mark, but her learning has really started growing exponentially now more than her size (she's actually been wearing the same size clothes for more than a week!).   It's shocking how much she picks up on and she's a huge copy cat!  

Communication is really the area she's working on right now.  She's starting to tell us better what she wants.  She has a few words in her vocabulary now such as:  ball (ba), fish (ish), more (mo), dad (dada), mom (mama), up (up), out (ow), off (ahh), Lola (oh-wa), water (ah-wa), uh-oh, and she loves to answer the question, "what does a puppy say?" with a cute little "oof." 

This week we have a few playdates scheduled and then we're heading to Iowa for the weekend.  I'm sure more pictures will be taken on that trip! 

I'll end with a cute picture of Anna in new PJ pants sent from Grandma S.  They were a little long, but it probably won't be long before she's tall enough for them!  Don't mind the cheesy grin.  Another new Anna thing is to give a great toothy grin and squint her eyes when you ask her to smile.  It's precious.
