Saturday we got to meet up with some friends (Chris, Renee, Nathan, and Evan) and play at a new splash pad we hadn't been to before. Anna LOVED it! (She pretty much loves anything that has to do with water.) We had a nice time playing, chatting, eating a picnic lunch, and then napping on the way home!
Here are some pictures from the splash pad:
Checkin' in out.
Touching the water.
Filling her bucket...
Hmm...wonder why it's empty?
Big girl :)
Running with Daddy.
She wasn't so sure of the water falling from above.
YAY!
The boys playing in the water too!
She quickly learned it was fun to step on the water like the big kids.
Picnic lunch...the kids and their cookies.
All three kiddos.
Evan slept almost the entire time. It was crazy! Anna couldn't take her eyes off him. She loved him and constantly wanted to see him...
Here he's still a sleepy apparently and Anna's still checking him out.
The GIANT slide.
Anna and Daddy at the top.
It went really slow...probably because they were still a little wet from the water fun...Brian's feet finally emerged...
Looks like they are having a blast...
Nathan caught up to them pretty fast. Anna instantly ran back to the ladder and wanted to go again. It was pretty high up...I got nervous the one and only time I took her up!
Swinging with Mommy.
Weee!!
Another nice summer weekend gone. We had a nice time at the park on Saturday, then we enjoyed some time at home that afternoon/evening. We got some things done around the house this weekend and even went out and bought a much needed new lawn mower. It was kind of a "have to right now" purchase as ours died mid-yard, but it was much needed. Now Brian will love mowing the grass I'm sure! Today is the start of the last week of summer. We don't have a lot on the calendar this week...mostly just soaking up the last few rays of summer. We're working on getting things ready for fall. Lots of people do spring cleaning, but I really get motivated right before school starts, it's like a fresh start and I like to reorganize and get ready for a good start to the school year. So today we're getting some things checked off our list of things to do before it's back to school.
Lovin' the pic of you two on the swing! They are growing up so fast!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new mower...now Brian has no excuse for an immaculate, gorgeous lawn! ;-)
