Weekend in Iowa

Friday we packed up the car and headed south for the weekend.  When we were loading the car it was raining, so Anna put on a rain jacket and we went out and stomped in puddles.  She loved wearing her hood ("haa"). 

Saturday we actually slept in!  Anna didn't wake up until 9:00 and we were shocked to look at the clock and see it so late!  She was very refreshed and happy to have gotten so much sleep!

We got ready, ate breakfast and then headed to the Iowa State Fair.

 After the fair we went out for supper and then headed back for baths and bed!!

Sunday morning, Anna shocked us again by sleeping in until 9:00!

As usual, a great weekend, but a fast one.  We're tired.  We always have so many fun things and people we want to see in our short time, but it really wears us out...especially Anna!  She slept for most of the ride home and even slept in a little this morning! 

Two more weeks until school starts again.  We have some fun stuff planned, but I think we'll mostly be taking it easy and enjoying the last of summer.
