What a WONDERFUL Easter weekend at the Fiscii house!
Friday night, after we got home from our weekly Friday Pizza Night, we dyed our Easter eggs!
Getting the cups lined up:
Of course we got the Tinkerbell egg dying kit...
...because Anna is a Tinkerbell Princess.
Anna was a huge help. She put the tablets into the mugs...
...all by herself...
...then watched as Mommy added the liquid....
...and then we started by having Anna drop in the eggs...
...she wasn't real gentle so mommy had to help...
So much fun!
Cheese!
Now, it's time to stir...
...almost done...
...VERY EXCITING...
Anna helped scoop this one out.
careful....
Putting it in the drying area.
Proud of her eggs.
Not sure if she's lickin' her chops cause they look so tempting....
"What? I can't have one now?"
After egg dying, it was time for night-night and we headed off to bed.
Saturday morning we woke up and had some breakfast...here's Anna in her snowman jammies (in April) waiting patiently for her Kix (her current favorite cereal).
Saturday we had a wonderful afternoon hanging out with baby Scotlyn. Her mommy and daddy called and said they were going to be in the area and we were so excited to have them come over so we could meet the new baby and see them! Anna loved baby Scotlyn.
She was so proud to be holding her on her lap.
Scotlyn hasn't learned to roll over yet and Anna really wanted her to do it. She kept saying, "roll over!" I think here she's giving her a little pep-talk.
While Scotlyn was taking a nap Anna helped Mommy make some angel food cake. She was our taste-tester.
Mmmm.
Sunday morning we got up bright and early so we could eat breakfast and be ready in case the Easter Bunny came before church. Much to Anna's amazement, he had come and left a lot of eggs all over the house! She spotted the eggs as soon as she entered the living room, and ran right past her basket of goodies to show us there were eggs hidden!
Another egg!!! She was loving the egg hunt!
Two more!
"Don't you think about taking my eggs, Mom!"
A whole basket full!
Oh, an Easter Basket too?
Cool stuff! A Memory game (mostly to just play with the cards and name the items...not quite ready for the full blown game), stickers, juice boxes, and of course some candy!
Candy!
Drinkin' her juice box and playing with the Memory cards.
She loved her juice boxes. She took all the straws off the boxes and wanted to drink them all.
Happy Easter!
Memory Game.
After breakfast we got dressed and went to church. Apparently we didn't take a single picture of Anna in her Easter dress. Oh well, I'm sure she'll wear it again. After church they had an Easter egg hunt for the kids outside. Anna was in the 3 and under group and she had a blast. There were lots of eggs in great spots for the little kids and she found a bunch of them! She got more candy and some coins in her eggs.
We got home, changed our clothes and made some lunch. We have been making practice cakes in preparation for Mommy decorating birthday cakes, and so we made a quick Easter cake with one of the rounds we had left. It's nothing fancy, but Anna was really excited about the cake.
Happy Easter!
After lunch, Anna took a nap, and we started a little landscaping project. If you have been to our house, you know our landscaping needs some help....so we're finally making this the year of the yard. We're making progress and have the motivation to keep going.
It was a wonderful weekend, full of fun, projects, and friends. We're looking forward to a busy week, prom on Saturday (Daddy and Mommy get to chaperone) and another busy week after that. Spring is going fast; Summer will be here before we know it!
