Life Update

Things have been a little hectic around our house lately, as they often seem to be....

Last weekend we had Grandma Lynn, Papa Dave, and Aunt Katie here to visit for the weekend.  Well, their visit turned into a working weekend and we are so thankful that they were here to help!  Why was it a work weekend you ask?  Well...

In early January we started house hunting.  Looking for something that better meets the needs of our family.  Some of our criteria included 3 bedrooms on one floor (right now we have two up and two down), a large shop area for Brian's projects that could be used year round (right now his shop surrounds our cars in our two car garage and can only be used when the weather is not freezing outside and there are no cars inside), and a family-friendly neighborhood among other things.  Well, after only a couple weeks of looking, we found the perfect house for us.  It meets all our criteria and then some.  The downside (we thought) was that it was a short sale, it could take a while to get an offer accepted.  But we went for it anyway...and oddly enough, our offer was accepted by the bank 2 weeks after it was made.  WOAH!  That was unexpected.  So, that threw us into fast mode.  We have to get our current house ready for the market!

So....we were so thrilled that family was here to help prep our house to get it on the market!  We packed boxes, organized closets, took stuff to storage...it was a lot of work and so helpful to have them here!  Besides cleaning, we did have a little fun doing some shopping and eating at Aunt Katie's favorite restaurant!  But in all the hectic chaos of the weekend, no pictures were taken to record the event.  As a consolation prize, here is a picture of the front of our new home on the day of our inspection--snow is almost melted:

In other news, today I am 28 weeks pregnant with #2.  We hopefully will be moved and settled before he/she makes his/her* big arrival.  I know I just said I'm 28 weeks, but here are some pictures from week 26.  Week 28 will be taken later today...
*EDIT:  he/she was changed from 'they' after many concerned readers accused us of hiding that we are having more than one.
Anna getting in on the picture taking!

This past week, we were also lucky enough to have Anna's other grandparents here as well!  Grandma Lori and Papa Randy came up on Tuesday to stay with Anna Wednesday-Friday while daycare is closed.  They had a lot of fun spoiling her and taking her on many adventures.  They did a good job of documenting some of the fun they had:

Anna Loves the library.  Here she's putting together puzzles!  She had to show her grandparents how to check out books too!
 Scanning her books!

Grandma and Grandpa left on Saturday after breakfast and we headed home to rest.  It had been a pretty busy week with house showings, more cleaning, and the fun of grandparents.  So we crashed on Saturday.  But Sunday, we went to work!  We continued to prep the house for sale--this time on the outside.  Since it was so nice out, we cleaned out all the flower beds, burned some sticks, and of course made time to play in the sandbox!

This week brings a few Mommy-Anna and Daddy-Anna days until daycare opens again on Friday.  Then next week is spring break and it will be Mommy-Anna week!!  We are hopeful that the weather will stay as nice as it is, so we can enjoy the outside some more!
