This past weekend we packed up our little family and headed north to Fargo, ND for a weekend of bowling and swimming. We told Anna it was like a little vacation, so all week she was excited to go to Fargo on "pacation." She knew that swimming would be involved and was so excited to pack her new Ariel swimming suit!
We got there late on Friday night and we had to start our pacation with the disappointment of not going to the pool right away. We promised that when she woke up we would go swimming right away. Well, at 7:08 AM, Anna awoke with an excitement that today was the day for swimming. She was in her swimming gear and ready to go by 7:15 when she was told that the pool doesn't open until 8:00. So, we watched a few minutes of cartoons, and stalled some more and then finally we got to go to the pool!!
Ready to swim!
The pool had some great slides and the entire time we were there, Anna just wanted to slide! She would slide down one of these big slides, one of us would catch her, then help her "swim" to the side, she'd climb out and go down the little slide into the 6" water and then climb out of there and go for a big one again. As soon as she had splash down, she demanded that you help her to the stairs...no wasting time splashing in the water when you could be flyin' down the slides!
Mommy caught me...to the side please!
Off to the little slide. We had to talk about walking feet quite a bit. She was so excited she couldn't help but move her little legs as fast as they would go!
Done on the little slide, on her way back to the big one to repeat the entire process!
We had a lot of fun in Fargo. We had about three different trips to the pool in between eating and bowling. Saturday night, Anna was spent. She fell asleep on my lap at dinner with our friends. She didn't even eat supper. She slept through the entire meal, me carrying her back to our room, changing her into a diaper for nighttime and didn't wake up until 7:15 the next morning! (Kinda makes me wish we had a pool to wear her out somedays!) Of course we had to get one more last dip in the pool on Sunday morning before we headed out. Convincing Anna we should eat breakfast first was tricky, but she ate well knowing she was going to go swimming as soon as she was done, plus I think she was starving after missing supper the night before!
We headed home Sunday afternoon when Daddy was done bowling. It was a good trip!
The sun was in Anna's eyes on part of the way home and she forgot her sunglasses at home, so she had to borrow Mommy's. She didn't sleep the entire ride home. She just enjoyed her Curious George movie and Clifford movie from the library that we got special for this car ride.
After such a busy weekend and a week off with Mommy on spring break, we figured today would be an interesting day at Sandra's house (Monday's or days directly following any change in schedule tend to be bad days)...but she actually had a great Monday! Hopefully this new trend continues because we have a fun and busy weekend next week too!

Today is our 30 week mark. Very exciting! Baby #2 is going to be here soon! We had an appointment today, heartbeat was a strong 158 and we're measuring right at 30 weeks. Anna loves coming along with me so she can hear the heartbeat!
We are getting excited to get into our new house so that we can really start preparing for this little one to arrive. Between showing our house and prepping to move, since we don't have access to the bedroom yet, we haven't gotten to do much to prep yet! It will be great fun to get all the baby stuff back out of storage and set up the crib and get ready for baby!
30 weeks and growing:
Did you get your house? Love the sunglasses!
