Claire had her nine month well-baby appointment today. It was originally scheduled for Monday, a week after her nine month mark, but today we got a phone call from daycare about a fever so we ended up at the doctor and went ahead and did the well-baby check up on our not-so-well baby.
Here are her stats:
Height:29.25 inches, >95%ile
Weight: 21 pounds 1 ounce, 88%ile
Head: 46.8 cm, >95%ile
She is following her own curve above the top line on the chart, just like her sister and we are not shocked. She is healthy and has met all the milestones expected of a nine month old. She is currently crawling and working on walking. She loves to communicate and is able to look for certain things when prompted. She knows Daddy, Mommy, Anna and Lola. She LOVES Lola. Poor Lola really does a nice job of tolerating pets from Claire too.
The doctor also determined that Claire has a sore throat. He did a throat culture to check for strep, even though he said it is rare in little babies; the 5 minute test was negative and we hope the 24 hour one is too. Her fever rose again this evening, not as high as this morning, but after a bottle and some Tylenol she was crawling around and playing before bed tonight. We hope she wakes up happy and fever free tomorrow and we can get back to healthy in this house. We have had our share of ick this past month. Where is our spring?
We are so happy to have a healthy growing girl! Despite these colds and random tummy aches, we are thrilled to be blessed with two happy, healthy girls.
