Nine Months!

Where is the time going?!  I feel like the months are flying faster now and we are nearing that 1 year mark way too soon!

I tried to get a few pictures of Claire for her 9 month birthday, but that girl doesn't sit still anymore and all she wanted was to get to the camera!

She's got quite the look in her eye...."Mom, I'm gonna get that camera!"

So I tried to sit her in a chair for some pictures...

But that didn't last....

"Mom I really want the camera."

Take a guess...smile or mad face?  Mad face gets a point!  She kind of scrunches up her nose and shows her teeth while squawking about whatever it is she wants...in this case, it's still the camera.  

I went for the distraction tactic.  "Oh, the phone is very interesting."  

"I love all electronics with buttons." 

She does eventually bore with the phone and does enjoy her own toys from time to time.  

At nine months, Claire:  

-Crawls everywhere quickly.  She knows that she has to go faster if she is going to beat someone else to the item she is going after.  

-Says "ba-ba-ba," "da-da-da", and ocassionally "ma-ma-ma."  

-She has 7 teeth.  Still an odd number...

-She can wave bye-bye. 

-She gives high fives. 

-She loves to eat by herself and has explored many new foods.  

-She wants to hold the spoon herself but isn't quite sure how to do it yet.

-Claire adores her older sister, and is especially drawn to her long hair.  

-Her hair is still a little out of control.  It does lay down, but it all falls forward.  We're trying to train it to go to the side.  I am not sure we're ready to cut it yet.  

-Claire is the oldest in her classroom at school and once she gets the walking down she'll graduate to the waddler room.  I'm not sure I'm ready for that!

-Claire loves to get and sometimes give kisses and hugs.  We love to cuddle her and take her kisses.  

We are 3/4 of the way to 1 year and it's been an awesome adventure.  We are excited to see Claire grow and change even more over the next few months.  We are anxious to get outside and watch her explore the grass and sand and have fun at the park this summer.  So much fun is ahead for Claire!
