Typically our blog highlights the exciting lives of our two girls...but today we'll highlight the start of this crazy life!
Today is our 8 year wedding anniversary. In 8 years we have experienced a lot of life together:
- Our first jobs outside of college
- Our first apartment together
- Our first home together
- Our first pets together
- Home projects, tiling, building porches, landscaping, painting, repurposing
- New jobs, layoffs and more new jobs
- Our first child
- Losses of loved ones
- Family trips
- House break in
- Our second home together
- Our second child
- More home projects
- Family camping trips
This is just a list of "milestones" or the "big things" that come to mind as you look back...but the real experience is the day to day life that we get to live together with our two beautiful daughters. It isn't all flowers and butterflies, daily life is messy, some milestones have been "messy," but those are the things that as we go through the experiences, we get stronger. When we can come out on the other side together, we strengthen our ability to get through the next messy thing.
Today is the day that 8 years ago we promised to stay together through the butterflies and flowers and the messy things. We are going strong. We are looking forward to the next 8 years, and then the 8 years after that, and after that....
