Wedding Fun

This past weekend was our long fall break from school.  We had Thursday and Friday off and we thoroughly enjoyed them at our house!  Thursday the girls and I went to our favorite orchard, out for lunch, and spent a couple hours at the library.  It was a fun, laid back, relaxing kind of day.  Much needed time together.  Friday, we packed up and loaded the car for some more quality bonding time!

We drove to Iowa to celebrate my cousin's wedding.  It was a beautiful wedding and a great party after to celebrate!  It's always great to see family!

Here are some pictures from our weekend adventure!

Anna and Grandma before the wedding.

We got to sit without any children for a little while before the ceremony.  A rarity for us!

Claire bounced back and forth between us and grandpa.

Back to grandpa and emptying his pockets.

The girls did very well in church, Claire only made a few of her own comments.  Then we headed for the reception!

Claire was excited for a delicious supper!

Anna took over and wanted a picture of Kate.

And of Claire and Daddy.

Claire sure makes some funny faces.

Kate is determined to help Claire roll her tongue.  Kate being our little genetics pro assures us that Claire will be able to do it, since both Brian and I can, so she's been trying to help Claire figure out this great skill we know she will possess.

Claire was confused though, and thought Kate wanted her to lick her tongue.  As you can see Kate was a bit surprised by this.

Anna hit the dance floor before anyone else!

Anna loved playing with her cousins!

Claire loved dancing and being silly all night long.

Anna danced with anyone and everyone.  She was especially thrilled to get to dance with the bride.

Daddy and Mommy got a couple dances in, but Claire didn't want us to miss her.
 Anna dancing with Grace....
 ...and Anne.

Claire danced too!

At one point Anna came back to us because she had to go to the bathroom (otherwise she was on the dance floor).  So I took her and we were chatting about how much fun she was having and she said, "Mommy, I'm so tired from dancing, but I'm going to keep doing it!"

It was a great night.  Fun people!

Sunday, we headed out early and got to stop in and visit our good friends Lindsay, Andy, Charlie and Nora.  It was a short visit, but fabulous to get to see them.  The twins are growing so much and the girls had lots of fun playing with them.  Brian was pretty proud to be the favorite 'uncle' of Charlie and Nora's while we were there....for some reason they were both really into him.  Charlie even wanted to sit on his lap for a good portion of our time there.  He's a silly uncle!

Halloween fun is our next adventure.....can't wait to share our Halloween costume pictures, they are pretty good this year!
