Zoo!

On Thursday, we headed to see our friends Pam and Cheri for a day trip to the Minnesota Zoo!  It was their birthday gift to the girls and it couldn't have been a better day!

Before the zoo we hit the park and Claire loved this awesome swing!

Then it was off to the zoo to see the animals.  

We saw a sea turtle getting his lunch.  

And a big cat looking hungry.  

Cheri and Pam were great to have along, I just stood back and took pictures of them pointing out all the animals to the girls.  

We took a tractor ride to the farm.  

And got to pet Lola the cow.  

Anna helped churn some butter. 

And the girls loved the carousal.  Anna chose the tiger to ride on and at first Claire wanted the tiger cub....

But then she spotted the blue frog and HAD to have that one instead.  She was very upset when we got off and she didn't get to take her blue frog with her.  

The girls enjoyed the bug exhibit.  They pretended to be ant size with Pam.

It was warm out so they also enjoyed a little time to cool off in the water.  

The butterfly garden was a big hit, especially when one landed on Anna's head!

The wolfs were a favorite as well. 

But I think the highlight of the trip was the giant snake that they pooled their birthday money from Pam and Cheri to buy and "share."  It really turned out well, they were tethered together the rest of the trip.  

Anna had a great time and it was hard to believe she was still going strong when we got home!  Claire was out about 5 minutes after we got in the car.  It was a great day at the zoo!
