Friday night we went out for pizza; Anna's first time going out for pizza. She was really good. She ate right before we left, sat in her seat while we ate, and fell asleep right before we were ready to go. I think she enjoyed herself. :)
Saturday morning we went bowling. This was Anna's second time at the bowling alley, but the first time she stayed for more than 10 minutes. Brian and I bowled a few games, she watched, smiled, met some new people and did really pretty well. She started getting kind of fussy around game two, so we walked her around a bit, and she fell asleep while we continued bowling. It was a good time and had been a LONG time since I had been...last time I was 36 weeks pregnant!
Sunday morning we went to church, and Anna had her first experience in the nursery. She was sleeping when we got there, so we thought it would be easy to take her. They said she did very well. She was happy and they really enjoyed having her. They said she started to get fussy around 10:05 (church starts at 9:00 and usually goes an hour). Apparently, she was ready to go and Pastor Ken was taking too long. It was really nice for me to actually get to enjoy the entire service!
We went home after church to start getting lunch ready for Grandma and Grandpa Fiscus's visit. They got here around 12:00, had lunch and enjoyed some time with Anna. It was a short visit, but a good one. Anna showed them all of her emotions: happy, hungry, cranky, and tired. It was a nice afternoon. We were able to get some nice pictures while they were here and we were outside wandering in the yard.

Some family photos:
This morning Anna had another first! We do tummy time every day, multiple times a day and as usual we were playing on our tummies and Anna was kind of kicking her legs as if she wanted to roll over. So, as usual, I helped her roll over a few times and she really liked that. Then I put her on her tummy again and her arms were in push up position and she worked really hard and managed to get her right arm out of the way and roll herself over again onto her back! The problem has always been those silly arms are in the way when she tried to roll and this time she figured out how to make it work. She did it all by herself! It took her a while, but she was determined. Where was the video camera when I needed it!? Hopefully she'll do it again today and I can capture the moment...the second time at least :) She was really proud of herself and chatted up a storm afterwards, as if she were telling me all about how she mastered it! She's sleeping now, rolling over takes a lot out of you.
This week has yet another first in it...Anna's going to spend her first few days with Sandra, our fabulous in-home childcare provider. I have to go to training for school a few days this week, so Anna will have a trial run at Sandra's. We'll get to figure out how to make our morning schedule work to get all three of us up and ready to go. I have a feeling it will be the hardest for me to have to get up extra early to get myself ready. I'm getting used to casually getting ready later in the morning. Luckily, it's just some training, so if we end up running a little late, it's not a big deal...not quite like being late for school with thirty 8th graders waiting for you to entertain them. We'll see how it goes!
