She's getting so big!

This week Anna just seems like she's growing really fast. Monday she started rolling over from tummy to back; she can go over on both her left and her right sides. At first I thought it was a fluke, but definitely caught it on camera two more times and she's done it plenty since then. She seems to think it's no big deal, like she's known how to do it forever. I never thought I would be so amazed at seeing her roll over, but it's pretty cool.

Anna also has had her first few days at daycare. She was completely exhausted after day one. I got there and she was pretty much passed out in Sandra's arms and slept as we put her in her seat, drove home, and while I got some things done once we were home. She was pretty overwhelmed by the kids and the excitement of it all. Yesterday, though, she seemed pretty content about the whole thing, enjoyed the kids a little more and did pretty well...except her fussiness after she ate. So, we solved that problem with some tummy relief drops and today was a fabulous day. Sandra said she was smiling and napped well and was just a great baby. I was relieved at this news as I was scared we were going to get kicked out of daycare because she was so high maintenance! :) I think she's going to love all the interactions with the kids; they seem to really love her. Tomorrow is show and tell...we are still trying to figure out what she's going to take! It's a pretty big deal, her first show and tell...I wonder what she'll tell?

This weekend is a pretty laid back weekend for us. Tomorrow night we are having dinner with friends Chris and Renee and their little man Nathan. We're really excited as Anna hasn't met Nathan yet and it's been a while since we've seen him.

Saturday we'll probably go bowling in the morning and then just have the rest of the day to relax. Sunday we'll go to church and again, have a day of relaxation...maybe another possible get together with Scott and Anne.

I'm excited to be done with training tomorrow and have four more weeks at home with Anna before chaos, I mean school begins.

In the spirit of "she's getting so big," here's a comparison photo of Anna at 1 week and Anna last week on Sunday. So many changes, especially in her alertness in two and half short months!

  1. Wow, she is getting so big! And we haven't even met her yet!! At least twice a week I tell Eric that we really need to schedule a get-together with you guys :( I think it's fairly safe to say that Anna has outgrown her baby gift from us.... Hmmmmmmmm. Hope all is well with the three of you! Talk soon!
