3 Months Old!

It's official...no more saying she's almost three months old! Saturday was her 3 month birthday! Now we're going to start working on 4 months! We're one quarter of the way through our first year with Anna and it's going WAY too fast! She's grown so much in the first three months, and there are even more changes in store for the next three: solid foods, potentially teeth, more mobility!

Of course to celebrate her three month birthday we had a wonderful weekend. Friday was an easy going evening with just the three of us at home. It had been a while since we didn't have a night with at least something going on. We enjoyed a movie and relaxation at home. Although before that we were outside sweating in the heat and humidity trying to relocate her car seats. You would think they would make those things easy to install so that not so many people were driving around with them installed incorrectly! They are tricky. We got her usual "bucket" seat in the car and are still a little puzzled by the new convertible car seat's installation process in the truck. We'll have to have the professionals take a look at it!

Just chillin' with daddy.
Notice the cute little plaid shorts outfit that Grandpa S picked out for her shortly after she was born.
Still working on walking :) See her little bald spot in the back? It's not as bad as some I've seen, but with her dark hair it's rather noticeable.

Saturday we packed up the car and headed to Iowa for a family get together with Brian's Dad's side of the family. It was about a 2 hour car ride and Anna did great. She ate right before we left, "talked" for the first 20 minutes, slept for the next hour or so and then just "talked" to us the rest of the way there. She wasn't fussy or anything. It was a very peaceful trip! We were excited to get there so everyone could meet Anna. Of course, they loved her :)

Anna and Grandpa F. Notice the outfit change here...she has been drooling so much lately she can quickly soak through an outfit in mere hours! This time we added a bib to protect the outfit and to help the massive amounts of baby laundry situation!

Sunday we made into kind of a lazy day. We got home Saturday night a little late and decided that we would "sleep in" on Sunday. For Anna sleeping in is 7:30, but that's better than 6:30! We enjoyed a nice relaxing morning just the three of us with no where to be...until 1:00 when we were going to go bowling with Scott and Anne!
Anna was still in her jammies when we were making lunch. She has started to enjoy sitting in her high chair, when it's reclined of course otherwise her head is too heavy and she has to rest it on the tray. She likes playing with toys, dropping them on the floor often of course!
Having a good time with her toys!
Apparently she had too much fun...she fell asleep on her tray with her giraffe still in hand.
After lunch and after Anna finally got dressed for the day, we headed out to go bowling with Scott and Anne. We should have taken our camera, but of course we forgot when packing up the other million things we get to take with us everywhere! Anna even wore her bowling attire: a onesie that ways Step 1 Crawl, Step 2 Walk, Step 3 BOWL! She's going to be a good little bowler!
After bowling we came home and enjoyed the rest of the weekend before Monday hit and Brian had to go back to work! Only two more weeks and that will be me too. I'm not sure where summer went. We've been busy, done a lot, and enjoyed every minute!
This week is another exciting and busy one. Anna and I have a playdate today. Tomorrow we finally get to meet baby Brecken! Wednesday is more bowling with Scott and Anne. Thursday we head back to Iowa for another great trip to see Gram and my family in Dubuque and of course a stop by Waverly to see Lindsay and Andy and have a cool cookie :)
