One Week Down...

Last week went very smoothly; transitioning back into the swing of daycare and school went well.  It was really busy and school was a bit overwhelming at first, but I got a day to myself working on Friday with no meetings to go to and got things under control.  I think I might have been a little crazy when I decided I wanted to change my position to high school, rather than just sticking with those 8th graders and knowing what I'm doing!  Oh well, I'm always up for a new challenge.

Overall, we are all geared up to get things going tomorrow morning.  Anna's back to her normal bed time, and does well getting up at 6:30...and she even got the memo that on Saturday you can sleep in!

This weekend was a quiet one.  Friday night was pizza night; Saturday we lounged around at home and Sunday we went to church and then headed up north to some friends' cabin.  Very relaxing out on the lake and the quiet of the cabin.  Surprisingly, Anna slept very well Sunday night.  She played really hard on Saturday, enjoyed her boat ride and played with the puppies.  I didn't get any pictures on the boat, Shari did, so hopefully she'll send those over, but I did snap a few today of her playing outside and with the puppies.

Enjoying the nice swing outside.
Keeping an eye on the puppies.  (**Check out that pony tail**Long hair alert**)
Much of Anna's playtime inside was spent playing with the puppy toys and the puppy bed.  Yes, we brought Anna toys, but this is all she wanted to do!

We got home pretty early today from the cabin so we got some things done around the house and then did a little last minute back-to-school shopping.  Tonight we got Anna's clothes all picked out for the "first day of school" (even though she went last week) and she played like a crazy girl until bed time.

Here are some cute pictures from the evening:

Anna LOVES her Bumbo seat.  She went under her bed, dug it out, hauled it out to the living room and has been playing with it daily ever since.  I guess the swing and Bumbo weren't just meant for tiny babies.  Toddlers love them!!
Bouncing into the Bumbo!
Say Cheese Anna!
Swinging and playing with her Dora balloon.  Daddy brought her a balloon home the day she got her fingers pinched.  He also brought mommy a rose.  He knew it was a rough day.
Attacking the balloon.
Watching Daddy play PacMan on his new phone.
Very serious gamers.
Hopefully tomorrow night I'll be able to post our first day of school pictures.  Wish us luck!
