So, I think it has begun. Many people call it the terrible twos...we're going to try to be a little more positive and call it the treacherous twos. Mostly because it's not all terrible, but it's very dangerous...you never know what might pop out around the next corner.
Now, I realize we're not two yet. But boy oh boy, after the past four days, you would think we were. We're getting a little more sassy and a lot more bossy. I think we're just trying to see what we can get away with.
I also would like to note, that while Anna has had her moments, she still remains to be the cutest, sweetest, and most fun-loving gal in the world. However, she can turn it off like a light switch if she wants to.
She got her first official "fussy" at daycare, without being sick or having some other issue, on Friday and today Sandra said she pushed another kid at daycare because they were going to hug Sandra but Anna didn't want them to.
Yesterday Anna tried pulling Pascal out of my lap because she didn't want him there and shoved Chopper (the puppy at Shari's house) out of his bed because she wanted to sit there.
So...we think she's getting a little possessive.
I think this is just the beginning of our parenting difficulties....
I think you are lucky the possessiveness is just now starting. Kallie has been very possessive of her mommy for a month now and she is 2 months younger than Kallie. It gets very frustrating sometimes because it is so difficult to explain to them that is not okay. Good luck and post what works to break the treacherous twos so I know what to do soon :)
ReplyDeleteI am guessing it is just a short phase...Nathan went in and out of those really quickly..and I just loved him being two...my favorite! I love the picture of Anna eating the apples...she is so cute and background is just beautiful!!
