Anna and Susie

This weekend we had a Mommy-Anna Friday and Saturday.  We had a fun time Friday night, watching a movie and reading a LOT of books before bedtime. Mommy even fell asleep in Anna's bed with her at bedtime.  (It's nice she has a larger bed now.)  So we had a sleepover in Anna's room last night, which ended at 5:50 AM with Anna waking up for the day!  Oh boy, early Saturday morning for us!

Later in the morning we headed to our friend Anne's house to help her get things unpacked, she just moved into a new house.  We went out for a fun brunch with her and then spent some time at her house helping her organize and Anna enjoyed playing with the puppies.  While we were visiting Anne, Bill stopped by and gave Anna a birthday present from him and Alysha.  She got a new baby doll!  Of course she was thrilled, although she was playing shy with Bill.  When we got home this afternoon she didn't want the new baby to feel alone, so she got to eat supper with us.

Anna put her in her high chair on her own, asked for the tray and then continued to ask for a plate, spoon, milk, etc for the baby.  So baby got her own meal...
Baby even got a cookie when it was time for dessert.
Our baby and her cookie :)
Baby was really buckled in for safety!
Getting baby out of the chair.  Baby did have some random spots on her head where Anna had tried to make her eat her supper.  She wasn't hungry tonight though.
After supper we spent some time picking out a name for our new baby.  Anna, after many choices were discussed, finally settled on Susie.  So after dinner, Anna and the newly named Susie headed downstairs to watch a movie.
All cuddled in with Toy Story 2.
We didn't get to watch much of the movie though, because the tornado sirens started going off and we had to take shelter and watch the weather the rest of the night.  Right now, as I type, Anna is cuddled in my lap asleep.  Something that hasn't happened in a long time.  She crawled up here about 7:30 and fell asleep quickly. I haven't had the heart to take her upstairs and put her in bed.  Daddy will be home soon from fishing, and I'm sure he'd love to be a part of her bedtime tonight.  We'll just consider this a little nap.

What a fun Mommy-Anna day.  Tomorrow we're off to visit friends and see some airplanes.  Hopefully the rain holds off, and the severe weather holds off for sure.
