Anna is a chatter-box. We love hearing the random things she comes up with, and sometimes we are shocked by the things that come out of her mouth. Usually it's one of those, where would she have heard that as she just copied some words she heard, other times it amazes us that she uses new words/ideas in the correct context. While she's not a baby anymore (obviously) and reaching motor milestones, the growth rate in her vocabulary and understanding seems to be going even faster than those first steps did!
Here are a few random conversations we've had over the past few days that made me smile. There are so many it's hard to remember them all and I would love to record every one of them and replay them over and over! Enjoy.
A: I have new monies. It's seeket (secret).
(She is obsessed with money. She finds a penny and LOVES to put it in her penny bank (as she calls it). She always asks Papa Dave for monies because she knows he has a pocket full of change! Of course, he's a softy and indulges her!)

M: Anna, can you pray tonight?
A: Happy hearts, rain, sun, weather. Fank you God...fooooood...togeter. Amen. (Her version of our meal prayer.)
-----------------------------------------------------------
A: Shhh!! Baby seeping on couch.
(in reference to her dolls covered in blankets on the couch. This also means you can NOT sit on the couch, as you may disturb their slumber.)
----------------------------------------------------------
After handing me her baby Sally,
A: Baby sad.
M: Why is Sally sad?
A: Wants her mama. (Then takes her away from me.)
----------------------------------------------------------
A: Watch a moofie Netflix? George?
----------------------------------------------------------
M: Anna, how old are you?
A: I'm two in August.
(Not at all sure where she decided her birthday is now August....could be that she's heard people say her friend Britta is going to be three in August.)

Yesterday, I spent the day at home deep cleaning and did a little rearranging while I was at it. When I picked Anna up and brought her home, she got to the living room and her reaction was hilarious.
A: Wow! Is all clean!
M: Is anything different Anna?
A: Touch moofed. (Couch moved.)
M: Yep, and there is another surprise in your bedroom. (Which was also cleaned and slightly rearranged.)
A: (With way more enthusiasm than it deserved when she saw it...) OOOHHH WOW!
----------------------------------------------------------
A: Supper time, supper time, supper time! (She loves to cook for us from her kitchen and serve us too!)
M: What's for supper this morning?
A: French fries. (And a few other things I couldn't quite understand.)
As I started to "bite" into the french fries...
A: No EAT it Mama, is hot! Pease blow it.
So I blew on the fries and tried again.
A: No Mama! Is HOT. No eat it. Blow it.
It took a few times, but the fries did finally reach an acceptable temperature for me to be allowed to eat them.

A: Yay! Goin tampin'!
She's very excited about our upcoming camping trip with her friends Aaron and Simon. Should be an adventure with the two chatty two year olds. I'm sure we'll have plenty of quotes to add to this list!
