Little Miss Claire is 7 weeks old this week. We have really noticed changes in her alert time, smiles and chubby cheeks! She's getting more into a routine, sleeping 7+ hours at night and then waking around 6 AM to eat and go back to sleep for about 3 hours. Hopefully this schedule continues into the fall when we are all headed back to school. She's spending her awake time smiling, making noises, and kicking those feet. During the day she's taking good naps, as long as she's swaddled up! She's very flexible in her schedule too, though, and we can go out and about and shop, see friends, or eat and she just goes with it. As long as we don't forget her bottle, she's happy to be along for the ride. And as for the chubby cheeks, we got on the scale the other day and it was claiming she's around 12 pounds already. She has her 2 month appointment in a couple weeks, so we'll really see how much the little bear has grown!
Here's a picture of some floor time showing off her favorite college team.

The past week has been filled with friends, parks, and swimming! Last week we went to a friend's house and spent some time at her pool. This weekend we had friends over to BBQ. And yesterday we headed to another friend's pool for swimming fun.
The only pictures we got were from yesterday. I'm having a hard time getting pictures when juggling two kids and all their gear while we are out and about. So, thanks to my friend Amy we got a couple pictures from yesterday's fun!
Anna's swimming skills are really improving. She's been practicing a lot at her swimming lessons and has really been enjoying it. She's becoming a much more independent swimmer. She wears her water wings and a floaty and she's off and swimming. Of course we are still right by her, but she kicks her way around the pools pretty well. At first she didn't want Brian to let go at her swimming lessons the first time they did this, but after a couple minutes she was saying, "No! I can do it myself!"
Yesterday she took off with her floaty right away!
She also caught on pretty quickly to sucking up water and squirting it at everyone with this little foam squirty. She was trouble!
This was the whole crew of kiddos. We are all teachers together and of course love to get together and chat in the summer, so it works out well that we have little kiddos that love to play together too!
Allison was holding Claire because she LOVES babies. She held her for a good 20 minutes, fed her part of her bottle and Claire even fell asleep for a bit! She was the baby whisperer.
It was a very fun day!
We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of more friends this afternoon and have very fun weekend plans in store...there will definitely be pictures of this adventure!!
