This past week on Wednesday, we headed north to Duluth for a math conference for Mommy and a vacation for Daddy and the girls. We had a great time, very relaxing and fun to explore Duluth. We usually go further north and don't spend much time in the city, so it was nice to enjoy the sites and sounds.
We got there a bit late on Wednesday, but the girls were really wound up when we got there and played for quite a while in their jammies.
The girls!
Crazy Hair Claire!
Day one out with Daddy included the Children's Museum and a pizza lunch. Daddy took some pictures on his phone that perhaps we'll be able to share later.
On Friday, Daddy and the girls headed up the north shore to Gooseberry Falls. We had never seen the falls frozen.
Beautiful.
Anna enjoying the hike.
Daddy and his girls!
Sisters on a hike.
Next stop, the train museum. It was closed, but they still got to take some pictures outside by the trains.
Then, the grand finale for the day....rock throwing. Anna was so excited when Daddy found this beach where rocks were just begging to be thrown back into the lake.
Sisters on the beach.
Claire is loving her time outside.
Good distance.
Claire's rock.
Power throw!
Saturday morning Daddy and the girls went for a walk around the canal area until Mommy was done with her conference after lunch.
Anna loves having her picture taken everywhere we go.
Anna loved chasing the birds in the park.
And wanted her picture taken next to every little monument :)
We spent Saturday afternoon at the aquarium, enjoying the fish and other fun exhibits.
Claire enjoyed a ride on the slide.
Anna did too!
Sisters fishing in the boat.
Claire caught one!
Anna enjoyed sending her boat through the locks.
Claire loved watching the fish.

Claire's turn by the monument on our way back.
More bird chasing.
Sneaking up on it...
And an up close look at Rudolph's nose...
Sister had a bit of a run-in with the carpet after she was trying out some acrobatics on the pack-n-play. This was the result. Daddy did a great job of cleaning up the mess and giving extra cuddles to help her survive the ordeal. It's looking better every day.
It was a wonderful trip to Duluth. Daddy enjoyed his special time with the girls while I was at the conference; he did an excellent job of entertaining and feeding and the girls took great naps for him every day!
